After a sold out season in London, breaking the record for the best-selling musical of all time at the Barbican Theatre, and winning three Olivier Awards including Best Musical Revival, Fiddler on the Roof will have its inaugural Australian Premiere at Theatre Royal Sydney.

It’s 1905 in the tiny village of Anatevka. Tevye, a milkman, lives his life by their proud traditions. For his five daughters, this means a visit from the matchmaker. As each daughter challenges his beliefs, against the backdrop of a changing world, can Tevye hold on to his roots, or must he bend to the will of his children and learn to embrace the unfamiliar?
As one of the greatest musicals of all time featuring, ‘If I Were A Rich Man’, ‘Tradition’, ‘Matchmaker’ and ‘Sunrise, Sunset’, this classic musical of joy and community is an exuberant celebration of love and life.

Group booking discounts are available for Fiddler on the Roof. Varying discounts are available for Groups, Concession Groups, and School Groups.
Standard Group bookings of 8-20 tickets can be purchased online here and are available on all performances – save up to $20 per ticket. If this price is available on your selected seat, you will be prompted to select the Standard Group 8+ Ticket Type. Please note you will need to select a minimum of 8 tickets to proceed to payment.
Concession Group bookings of 8-20 tickets can be purchased online here and are available on Tuesday Evening, Wednesday Matinee and Thursday Matinee performances – save up to $25 per ticket. If this price is available on your selected seat, you will be prompted to select the Concession Group 8+ Ticket Type. Please note you will need to select a minimum of 8 tickets to proceed to payment.
School Groups bookings are available on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evening performances as well as Wednesday and Thursday matinee performances for groups 8 students or more. Please contact our Box Office to learn more about school bookings!
